Age 95, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away July 6, 2012. Born January 14, 1917 in Fowler, MI the daughter of William & Clara Wieber. Romilda was an elementary school teacher for many years, teaching at Holy Cross, St. Therese, Immaculate Heart of Mary, and St. Gerard. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening, and sewing.
Surviving are her daughters, Rosemarie (Richard) DeLoof, Joanne Hills, and Karen (William) Parker; son, Kenneth (Linda) Pung; daughter-in-law, Kathy Gromilovitz; 24 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter; 2 brothers, Gerald (Doris) Wieber, and Fr. Donald Wieber; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Romilda was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; son, Joseph; 4 sisters, Sr. Bernita Wieber, Magdaline Armbrustmacher, Irene Thelen, and Sr. Esther Wieber; 3 brothers, Eugene Wieber, Arnold Wieber, and Fr. Elmer Wieber.
Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday with the Rosary at 7:30 P.M. in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy is 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 10, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 102 W. Randolph, Lansing with Msgr. Bernard Reilly, Fr. Donald Wieber, and Deacon Chuck Thelen presiding. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Tuesday at the church. Rite of committal at Gunnisonville Cemetery in DeWitt, Twp. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. Therese Parish in memory of Romilda. Friends may visit the guest book at www.tiffanyfuneralhome.com.
