Ruth Swanson

of East Lansing, MichiganAge 90, passed away February 14, 2008 in Lansing. Ruth was born October 9, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan and was the daughter of Ernest and Hannah (Endline) Sharp. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Howard; daughters, Susan (Leo Friedman) Swanson of Okemos, Sharon (David) Rushing of Mooresville, NC; grandson, Matthew Rushing of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Stacey (Bryan) Kaufman of Chapel Hill, NC; brother, Harlan (Betty) Sharp of Pflugerville, TX; sisters, Meda Abbey, Dorothy Latocki, Jeanette Bosco, Betty (Roman) Cieslinski all of Bay City; sister-in-law, Evelyn Plant of Anaheim, CA. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Roland Sharp, Clarence Sharp, Fremont Sharp; sisters, Nora Bennett, Mabel Cruthers, Evelyn Morse, Marian Sharp. Funeral Services are 1:00PM Monday, February 18, 2008 at Bethel Baptist Church, 810 Edgemont Blvd, Lansing 48917 with visitation from 12-1PM at the church prior to the service. Rev. James E. Robinson, officiating. Interment will be Deepdale Memorial Park. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Sparrow Hospice Services (especially Merna Brownfield, Mary Farley, and Meredith Bradley) for their care and compassion in helping us navigate this difficult journey.
