Sherry was born in Lansing, MI, to Arlene and Donald Bishop. She married her childhood sweetheart, Paul, in June of 1987. She was a loving person who had a huge heart and was always helping others. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing dice games, doing crossword puzzles, and watching game
shows. She was known for her great potato salad that she would bring to family gatherings and for her peanut butter cookies that her grandchildren loved.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; son, Robert Gilby; daughter, Dorothy (Phillip) Carrick; son, William (Bill) Johnson; stepson, John (Kym) Jenkins; sister, Gwen Pitts; brother, George (Buddy) Berry; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, son, sister, mother, and sister in law/best friend.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, per her wishes.
