

Age 92, passed away September 22, 2014. Born December 8, 1921 in Colfax, WI. Stan was an Army veteran, a middle school math and music teacher, and after retiring from the state of Michigan, he worked at Elderly Instruments part time nearly 15 years. Stan was a talented musician, singer and song writer. He was noted for playing early country music, and regularly performed for senior homes in the area. He shared his love of music with his son, Bill. The two played locally, and at Willow Folk Festival for almost 30 consecutive years. Stan also enjoyed crossword puzzles, baseball, and history.
Surviving are his 4 children: Stan (Laurie) Bartilson, Jr., Ruth Keller, Elizabeth Williams, and Bill (Mary) Bartilson; 6 grandchildren Matthew (Britt) Bartilson, Lynsey Bartilson, Jennifer Vasquez, William Bartilson, II, Alicia Manfredi (Mike), and Kelsey Keller; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger (LuAnn) Bartilson, and many nieces and nephews. Stan was preceded in death by his infant son, Richard; parents, John & Mabel; sister, Elaine; and 3 brothers, Donald, Robert, and Wayne
