Steven Roger Bartshe, Sr., Age 61, passed away on the morning of November 3rd, 2014. At the time, he was doing what he loved most, deer hunting. Steve appears to have passed from a sudden and unexpected heart attack immediately after taking a shot at a deer. There was nothing more he would rather do with his time and hunting had been his passion since his teenage years. It is fitting that he should pass, while in the hunt, doing his most favorite thing.
Steven Bartshe was born and raised in Dewitt, Michigan, retired from General Motors and recently bought his dream home, a log cabin on several acres just south of Eaton Rapids. He was excited for the opportunity to hunt his own land and live in this private setting with his loving wife, Robin Bartshe.
Steven enjoyed taking his grandchildren on motorcycle rides and having them over for his famous pancakes. He enjoyed sharing his traditional Italian dishes over the holidays and was looking forward to his first holiday season in his new home.
Steven is survived by his wonderful wife of 29 years, Robin Bartshe. His sister Gay Reinert, brother Philip Bartshe and his three sons, Steve, Jr., Michael and Nicholas, and their families. A private celebration of life will be held for family members and friends. Please email [email protected] for details. Arrangements under the direction of Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing, MI.
