

Sushila Razdan, 88, beloved mother to 4 children, residing in Dewitt, Michigan for the past 4 years, passed away on Monday, December 15th, leaving a void her family cannot fill. She was born in Rainawari, Kashmir in 1937 to Prabavati and Dinanath Pandita, and remained deeply connected to her parents and siblings throughout her life, cherishing family bonds and shared traditions. Sushila was a devoted mother to her children Pushpa, Meena, Urmilla, and Rajender. She always said their births changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided.
Sushila found her greatest happiness in time spent with family, where conversation, laughter, and togetherness filled her days. She especially treasured shared meals and the devotional rituals that grounded her faith, offering her comfort, meaning, and a deep sense of peace. In the past four years after immigrating to the United States, she embraced life fully, filling her days with travel, visits with loved ones, and the joy of being surrounded by family. She traveled to many places across the country, creating memories that reflected a life lived with resilience and love.
Sushila’s family will miss her very much, and will never forget the love she brought to their lives. She is survived by her son, Rajender (Soopriya) Razdan; daughters, Pushpa (Mahraj Krishan) Raina, Meena (Ashok K. Handoo) Razdan, and Urmilla (Sateesh) Raina; brother, Mohan Krishan Pandita; grandchildren, Maniesh, Ambalika, Sailesh, Kanishka, Puneet, Priya, Ashima, and Himansh; great grandchildren, Krishna, Advait, and Mihit; and beloved pet, Emmett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Madan Mohan Razdan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Gorsline Runciman East Lansing Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave. East Lansing, MI 48823.
