Timoteo H. Flores, age 79, died February 14, 2012, in Lansing, MI. He was born in Mexico D.F January 24, 1933, to Pablo and Jeronima (Hernandez) Flores. Mr. Flores was a resident of Lansing for 47 years and retired from Motor Wheel as a Machine Operator after 30 years of service. He was a minister at the Apostolic Assembly in the Faith of Christ Jesus where he loved to give his time and talents. Cooking was one of his passions. His specialty was Mexican bread and pastries. He was also owner and operator of El Sombrero Restaurant and Little Mexico Restaurant. Mr. Flores was always generous and willing to help anyone.
Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Maria; 3 daughters, Rosa Flores, Norma (Ricardo) Garcia and Alyssia (Jason) Bonilla; 3 sons, Timoteo Flores, Jr., Pablo (Olga) Flores, and Reynaldo Flores; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Paulino Flores; and sister, Ana Maria Hernandez.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 20, 2012, at Apostolic Assembly in the Faith of Christ Jesus, 900 N. Waverly, Lansing, MI 48917 with Pastor David Ramirez and Pastor Armando Gutierrez officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing, MI.
The family will receive friends at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan, Lansing, MI, Saturday, February 18 from 6-8 PM and Sunday, February 19 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM with a special service at 6 PM.
