Timothy "Timmy" Wayne Davis, a cherished member of the Lansing community, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and joy. Born on December 15, 1963, in Lansing, Michigan, Timothy was the beloved child of Hallie and Mary Davis. He graduated from Eastern High School in 1984, where he was known for his friendly demeanor and ever-present smile.
Timothy was a vibrant participant in the adult day program with Community Mental Health for many years before joining the PACE program. His generous spirit was evident in his donations of food and clothing to the Lansing Rescue Mission, reflecting his deep commitment to helping others.
A devoted member of Wayside Chapel Ministries, Timothy found great joy in his faith and cherished the fellowship he experienced there. He had a profound love for the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, which he celebrated with his family, creating lasting memories.
Timothy's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. He was an avid fan of Michigan State and the Lansing Lugnuts, holding season tickets for many years. He delighted in the simple pleasures of life, such as watching TV shows on MeTV, Nick at Night, and the Game Show Channel, as well as indulging in soap operas. His fondness for garage sales and collecting soda pop bottles was well-known, as was his love for the color red, and sending and receiving cards, and wrapping presents. One of Tim's most fond memories as a child was riding the CATA bus with his mom.
Timothy's life was enriched by his many friendships, including those in his Friendship Circle community and his dear neighbor, Susan. Special thanks are extended to Fresenius Kidney Care of East Lansing for their compassionate care.
Timothy will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the joy he brought to those around him. His memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday December 14th at 11 am at Faith Tabernacle Church, 921 W Mt Hope Ave, Lansing, MI 48910, and a memorial service will follow directly, beginning at 12 noon.
