William W. Gross was born on November 28, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of the late William and Mercides (Farrington) Gross, and passed away on September 28, 2014 at the age of 60. Bill was a very social man who was always striking up conversations wherever he went even with strangers. He enjoyed telling jokes and was known to many as “The Joker”. He was self-employed as a picker and junker and loved finding a bargain or good deal. He was preceded in death by his parents and twin daughters, Amy and Jamie. Surviving to honor his memory are his wife, Karin Gross; son, Dennis Corliss; two daughters, Shirley and Billie Jo Gross (and many other children); five grandchildren, Nathaniel and Ivory Maxwell and Micheal, Jacob and Chablyn Sairls; and two sisters, Betty and Linda Gross. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 1st and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
