She graduated from Cathedral High School and worked as a secretary at New York Life until her marriage in 1956. After marrying John “Jack” Purcell, she became a stay-at-home mother and raised their three children.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, John “Jack” Purcell; her children, John “Tom,” James “Jim,” and Catherine “Cathy”; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Deacon Fred Kunder at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774. A private committal will take place at a later time with immediate family at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park.
