He was a fine man and welcomed us hangers on there at the Travis house in High School without judgement.  

I know he'll be missed and he was blessed to have a wonderful family.

I remember him well--he was always so patient about the endless extra teenagers who continually drifted through your house during our high school years. God Bless Uncle Charlie. We had many summer visits with his family at our home in North Conway NH. He raised a fine family full of bright, adventurous, and thoughtful children. Our Condolences.

Dr.Travis was a fine doctor.  My entire family went to him and absolutely love him! We have been with him and Dr. Reese,when Reese Retired Travis took us on as his patients. He was very caring and good at his profession. I cried when he retired and Tasha reassured me that the doctor Dr.Travis chose for  my family was good etc... I will always have a special place in my heart for Dr. Travis though. Praying for the family and friends left behind~cherish the many memories of you lovely Father. May God comfort each one of you during this difficult time!

Some cross our path once in a lifetime, while others do so periodically, as if by divine appointment.  I had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Travis during my years on swim team, and then later as an adult working in the addictions field. The work he did at MCO educating the med students about our field was very well regarded..   I always admired him for this! He was certainly thoughtful and considerate, and he was funny too.  He touched the hearts of many with his stature and his warmth.

we have known each other for many years from the Family Practice Center.  He was a good teacher and his patients loved him. Wish we knew he was in Largo, we could have touched bases again. My mom lives there too. Our condolences to all of you

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of  Dr. Travis. I was so impressed with Charlie during my years working with him at Tennyson Center that I asked him to be my families primary doctor. He was well liked and truly care for his patients. Despite changes in the addictions field, our paths crossed numerous times over the years. I will particularly miss our visits at UTs Art on the Mall each year.

Dear Travis Family, 
Thinking of you all and praying for comfort for your family. I have been remembering all the good times our families had together during our swim team years. Very special times.

I worked with Dr Travis at St Vincent Tennyson center back in the 80's when he was Medical Director for the center. He shortly thereafter became my physician and continued till he retired. He was...just an outstanding man. He always had a smile and a deep compassion and interest everytime we spoke. He was a wonderful doctor who truly listened to his patients. He had compassion for those suffering from chemical dependency. He had a major impact on how many doctors today approach patients who are addicted. What a wonderful legacy. Later we both lived in Old Orchard and he often stopped by as he rode his bike to visit and catch up. 
I was truly blessed to have know Charlie.

Katie Sorry about your Dad his love of people and his faith have been a great example.  I wish I could attend but I won't be able to make it.

I appreciate having had Dr. Travis as my family doctor.  He had a kind, gentle manner and a way of putting you at ease.  Keeping the family in thought and prayer during this difficult time.

Saddened to learn of death of Charlie Travis.I knew him well having been invested with him and three other boys into Boy Scout troop#32 in Nov. 1949. He was well respected along with his entire family. Always courteous,well groomed and a diligent student, Charlie set an example for his contempories.I'm glad I had the opportunity to visit with him at a school reunion a few years ago.My deepest condolences to his family. Dr. Travis was our family physician for many years. The care we recieved from him was compassionate and thorough. His gentle manner and smile always reassuring with calming effect. We shall always gratefully and fondly remember him.

I learned a lot from Charlie Travis.  He was a good physician and an excellent man.  I will miss him greatly.

Your were my boss, teacher, best career motivator and most of all, my friend!  I will miss you very much and remember all the experience's in life we shared in Family Medicine at MCO/MUO Hospital.  You never gave up on me and taught me so many things at work and outside of work!  You will be missed by so many and my prayers and thoughts go out to the family.
