Christopher D. Woody, 43, of Largo, Fl. passed away on April 21, 2017 from injuries in an auto accident. Born in Roanoke, Virginia, Chris lived most of his life in Largo, Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1998 with a B.A. in Finance. Chris worked as a mortgage underwriter, most recently at USAA. He was an avid Gators fan and loved playing competitive volleyball. Chris had placed his faith in Jesus Christ and we are comforted that he is now safe in the arms of his Savior. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks. Chris is survived by his loving parents, Kirt and Diane Woody of Largo; fiancée Elizabeth Suarez and her daughters, Louisa and Daniella of Columbia, S.A.; close friends Mike Lyons of New York and Mike O’Donnell of Tampa; loving aunt Gail Moles, cousins Travis Moles and Crystal Wilson, Riner, Va.; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and faithful dog Coco. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Sam and Louise Woody, and Dalton and Esther Ellis. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
