Dad I miss you, I think about you everyday since you passed.  I miss your calming voice and sense of humor. You are with Mom now is the only comfort.

When I was a little girl, I had kidney disease.  My dad went to all of my appointments with me.  As I got older, if I was sick and afraid I felt that my dad could make me safe.  I miss him and my mom everyday.

We were sorry to hear of your husband's passing.

I don’t know where to begin, over 20 years ago I had made the most difficult relocation to Florida, along with starting my new job. Never knowing ~the impact of a man, so quiet, polite and helpful would become a huge part of my life. This Southern Gentleman was one of a kind, when we were scheduled to work the same shift~I just knew~my day in the pharmacy was going to be better, he had this warmth and light around him. I saw the way he interacted with everyone, he would smile and made you feel you were someone~regardless of what department you worked in. I never planned for Earl to become a Godfather to me. But that was God’s pIan. I  already had so much respect for this wonderful man, I then had the pleasure of being a part of his family. Backing up here a bit ~I had lost both parents within 5 months in 2002-03. At the same time I was recovering from major surgery which caused lifetime damage. A few years later my Godmother was dating, and I had heard of Earl’s  loss. I remember his wife Dottie, I would say hello always on our way out ~when he and I worked afternoons. She picked  him up always on time, and a smile~for me, I would wave, as I walked by, or a quick~ he is on his way out.  Sweet woman, she was. My Godmother Cheryl wasn’t going to date anyone, for a while she was fed up!  I said you are going out with this gentleman, he is a rare find. Finally ~she said one date. Well the rest is history, the years they shared were wonderful. Earl will always be a father to me, I have been blessed to have him in my life. He loved his family, he worked to much, he wanted to save the world, but that was Dad. I know~he is here,in spirit watching over all of us. His love for God was bigger than any church,  I had to catch him a few times before we ate, we always said Grace. He would smile at me, as he bowed his head. I think the temptation of a good appetizer just tugged a little hard. That first bite of homemade bread, you will always be with me.♥️ You Dad

A kind, generous loving soul. A bright light gone much too soon.
I believe that Earl is safe and at peace wrapped in the arms of our Lord and I hope that this provides his family with a small measure of comfort.
I only had the opportunity to be with him a few times but I know that I am better for it.
I’m going to remember him sitting in his recliner, smiling and covered with dachshunds.
I send my love, prayers and deepest sympathy. 

Earl was an excellent hospital pharmacist that I was privileged to have
known while he worked at Suncoast Hospital/Largo Medical Center, Indian Rocks . His work family will miss him deeply. Condolences to his family and friends.

Daddy, was such a kind gentle spirit. We children always knew that we were loved.  He was so good with the grandchildren.  If one of them was fussy, he would pick them up an hold them to his chest and rock them.  In no time the child was calmly asleep. Such a large hole will be left in my heart. I will truly miss our regular conversations that we had.  He is now with my Mother that we lost 15 years ago. We will have many fond memories of his wonderful sense of humor. Posting on behalf of the entire Animal Hospital of Largo family- We have had the pleasure of getting to know both of the Statzers over the years of caring for their pets. "Mr. Statzer," as we knew him, was a wonderful person who possessed a singularly kind and gentle nature. We will miss seeing him come through the door of our practice (usually with his wife and a herd of dachshunds). His absence will be greatly felt by all of the staff and doctors here at the Animal Hospital of Largo. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wonderful wife, family, and fur family. 

I was so sad to hear about Earl, who recently "fell asleep", and my heart felt condolences are with his precious wife and family.  Earl and I worked together at Sun Coast Hospital, where he cared emenesly  for the patients. He was never too busy to walk over medication, personally, for our patients. I remember him being extremely excited to have found the love of his life, just about the time he planned to retire. A kind, caring soul and genuine  coworker was not easily found. He will be truely missed and my thoughts are with Sheryl and his family during this difficult time. May each of you find peace in your hearts as you carry his memory close within forever. My sincere condolences to the Statzer family for your loss.  Earl was a great man and loved his work in Pharmacy.  Many years at SunCoast Hospital AKA Largo Med Indian Rocks.  Remembering his retirement party, only Earl was not ready to settle down and was back to work a short time later.  Many fond memories of Pharmacy, conversions, mergers, and more conversions, (not so fond) but Earl was a trooper to the staff and especially the patients.  One interesting thought was Earl telling me he was a translator during the war for the Russian language into English.  couldn't imagine a more difficult language to translate, impressive.
