Gail S Taylor

Gail was born on March 26th, 1943 to Eleanor (Jusko) and Saul Perlman in Chicago, IL. After graduating from North High (Columbus, OH) in 1960, and attended The Ohio State University in Columbus for two years.

In 1957, she met Ronald Lee Taylor and they wed in 1962 in Columbus, OH. She and Ron went on to have three sons, Bradley Scott, Mark Aaron and Christopher Robin.

When the boys were young, Gail dedicated her time and energy to being a fantastic and wonderful wife and mother. She excelled in raising three young men and was extremely proud of their personal and professional accomplishments. In the late 70s, she decided to focus upon her professional career and served as an executive assistant at Crate and Barrel, Meredith Publishing, Childbirth Graphics and GE Capital.

She retired from GE Capital (Atlanta, GA) in 2008 and spent her retirement pursuing the following passions: community service, spending time with family and friends, church outreach, her choir, reading and travel. She enjoyed splitting her time between Largo Florida and the Bear Paw Community on Lake Hiawassee in Murphy, NC.

Over the course of her life, Gail relocated with her husband to various locations including Madison, WI; Chicago, IL; Largo, FL; Des Moines, IA; Rochester, NY; Alpharetta, GA, and Murphy, NC. She made friends easily and was an active member of the community in each town where she resided. She was very proud of and enriched by all the friendships she developed across the US during her professional years and across the globe during her travels in retirement.

She was a proud member of Anona Methodist Church (Largo), where she served as secretary of “Sonseekers”, an active member of bible study, choir and the cancer support group. At Reid’s Chapel (Murphy) she was an active participant of the Cherokee County Food Bank. She was a member of Leisure Point and the Nantahala Yacht Club in Bear Paw, NC.

She was enriched in her life by their life long passion for travel across the U.S., Europe and eventually the world. Her final travel goal was achieved in 2019 when they both experienced Tanzania, Africa and the Serengeti Plain with it's vast beauty, animals and culture.

Gail was a gift from God that we shared as a family on earth for 78 years and resulted in her making a significant contribution to her family, friends, and community through her love, grace, understanding, tolerance, wisdom, and laughter. She was very proud to have seen four of her grandchildren graduate and to have seen the world over her lifetime. Her Christian faith fostered love in her heart, song in her voice and a smile on her face which she focused outwardly to make a positive difference in the world.

In addition to her parents, Gail was predeceased by her brother Dennis Perlman, and her son Christopher Taylor. She is survived by her husband; Ron, her two children Brad Taylor (Sarah) of Baltimore, MD and Mark Taylor (Sandra Sauereisen) of Cleveland, OH, and her five grandchildren, Madison, Christian, Alison, Clara and Zoe.

A memorial service for Gail will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Anona United Methodist Church, 13233 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774. Following the memorial service will be a reception from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774.

Gail's memorial service will be live streamed for viewing at Anona by simply going to Live.Anona.com on the day of her service.
