Georgella was born on January 16, 1933 in Chicago, IL to Eleanor Schultz Multerer and George Multerer. Georgella graduated from Leyden Community High School in Franklin Park, Illinois where she was a member of the homecoming court and voted “most fun to be with”.
Georgella dreamed of a career in an office. After high school, she went to work for the FBI and later O’Hare Field before meeting and then marrying her beloved Donald Carl Drewes on August 20, 1960.
Georgella had a passion for animals, supporting many organizations who help distressed and abandoned animals and for puzzles. Most days, she routinely finished 4 to 5 crossword puzzles, word jumbles and word searches. But most of all, her passion was her family whom she loved very much.
Georgella is survived by her children, Donna E Chisholm of Seminole, Florida, David A Drewes of Dallas, Texas, and Duane A Drewes of Pinellas Park, Florida; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Services for Georgella will be held at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774 on Friday November 17, 2023 beginning with a visitation from 12 pm - 2 pm with a funeral service to follow led by Pastor Joe Adams. Georgella will be laid to rest at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park. The family then will invite all attendees to stay for a catered reception to continue sharing fond memories.
