He came to the United States shortly after and settled in Flint and then Linden, Michigan and moved to the Clearwater area in 1969.
James was a member of St Paul United Methodist Church and proudly served many years as head usher. He was a US Army Veteran surviving during WWII and among many professions he was most noted as a construction Foreman and farmer.
James was predeceased by his loving wife of 70 years Madeline. Surviving are his children; Gerald of Spring Hill, FL, Harold of Culver City, CA, Richard of Plymouth, MI, David of Clearwater, FL, Vicki Davis of Clearwater, FL and Delores Surette of Belleair Beach, FL along with 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be offered to the Suncoast Hospice, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33760.
Private family Services will be held at a later date.
