J. Eloise (Eisenhuth) Gomez, 88, of Belleair, FL, died peacefully February 23, 2012 at her residence in Largo, FL. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard R. Gomez for 66 years. Born February 27, 1923 In Williamsport, PA, she was employed as a secretary at Lycoming Motors where she met her future husband. She then began an extended and rewarding career as a homemaker, making her home a haven of love for her husband, three children, other family members, business associates and countless friends. She was a loving and attentive mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and enjoyed watching her brood grow and become successful in their work and adult lives. In her later years she became a fitness fanatic, and her exercise regimen and stamina in the gym were the envy of her much-younger workout buddies and trainers. She was a loyal supporter of many causes associated with women’s health issues. She was a resident of Clearwater and Belleair for 41 years. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Diana Gilliam, of Branford, CT. She is survived by sons Ronald and his wife Leslie, of East Longmeadow, MA, and Michael and his wife Catherine Leonard, of Westbrook, CT. She also is survived by a sister, Doris Ann Bower, of Thonotossasa, FL, a dear cousin who was in effect a sister, Shirley Seese, of Lewisburg, PA, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren (and another one on the way), and many nieces and nephews – all of whom she doted on. Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by the Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774 Ph# 727-562-2080.
