Jean attended Shaler High school in Pennsylvania, graduating in 1947. She continued her education at Western Pennsylvania School of Nursing, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating in 1950, leading to a successful career as a Registered Nurse.
Jean met Edward John Meyer and they were married on January 10, 1951 at St. Anthony's Church in Millvale, PA. Edward and Jean had two children; daughter: Joy and son: Jay.
Jean enjoyed many hobbies, including Tennis, Painting, Gardening, Swimming and playing the card game Bridge. She also loved to travel.
Jean is survived by; daughter Joy; son Jay; and daughter-in-law Linda; grandson Michael and granddaughter Nicole.
Jean was preceded in death by her spouse Edward John Meyer.
