94, of Largo, passed away April 2, 2018. Jeffrey was raised on a farm in Lacona, IA. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader and loved woodworking, as well as going to NC to their cabin in the Smokey Mountains with his wife, Doris whom he did everything with. He worked for NASA as a Quality Control Engineer at Honeywell and belonged to the Audubon Society. Jeff was an Army WWII veteran and served in the Pacific Theater.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Doris.
He is survived by his children, Michael Mitchell and his wife Joann, and Cheryl Hall; his grandchildren, David and Brian Mitchell as well as Carrie Hall; great-grandchildren, Madison and Morgan Mitchell; and his sisters, Elizabeth Cook and Elena Jean Wentz.
A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 10am in the Chapel Complex at Anona United Methodist Church, where he was a member for over 52 years.
