Born on July 8, 1936 to Joseph P. and Kathryn (Dempsey) Nevin, Anne grew up in Yonkers. A lifelong parishioner of Sacred Heart Church she attended SH grade school and also graduated the high school. She went on to get her degree at The Katharine Gibbs School. She was employed by the CIA, and then became a legal secretary. She then became chairperson, and worked at JRW Institute for many years.
Anne married the love of her life and high school sweetheart James J McCabe on May 16, 1959. She enjoyed taking long walks, and reading books, watching the sun rise and spending time with family.
Anne is survived by her beloved husband James, loving son Thomas of Yonkers NY, devoted daughters Tara (Andrew) Parness of Highland Mills NY and Eileen McCabe of Yonkers NY and daughter in law Marybeth McCabe of Carmel NY. Also survived by her treasured grandchildren Patrick, Kelly, Allison and Andrea, siblings Rosemary (Charles) Jansen and Joseph (Helena) Nevin, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Det. James McCabe in August 2012.
