

Born in 1931 in Brooklyn, NY, Larry was a devoted family man; father to four children and husband to his wife, Carole. They were married for 59 years.
He served in the US air force during the Korean War then completed his electrical engineering degree at the University of Minnesota. He enjoyed working in the Aerospace industry and was employed with Honeywell for the majority of his career. Larry made significant contributions to America’s space programs including Vanguard, Apollo, Space Shuttle, HOE and Centaur.
Larry engaged in all his children’s activities serving as a scout leader and basketball coach. He was an avid orchid grower, played tennis and was a regular league bowler for many years. He was a devoted member of Christ the King Lutheran Church for over 45 years. In his later years, he and Carole travelled through many countries enjoying the sights around the world. Larry had a great sense of humor; he was always liked to joke with and tease others.
He is survived by four children; David Kinports of Lake Worth, FL, Brian Kinports and wife, Kerriann, of Palm Harbor, FL, James Kinports of Woodstock, GA, and Robert Kinports of San Luis Obispo, CA; three grandchildren, Kayley, Nicholas and Tyler. His family brought him great joy.
Services and a reception will be held Saturday, June 24, 11:00am, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Largo, FL.
