Bailey, Lewis “Wayne”, 59, of Seminole, passed away on Saturday, July 7th. He will be missed by his family, friends and the community. Wayne was born to Bob and Anna Bailey in 1958 in St. Petersburg, FL. He grew up in Pinellas County. His joys as a child were fishing with his siblings in Treasure Island, collecting coins, and thinking up new businesses he could start up. Wayne’s dream of entrepreneurship came true when he opened West Coast Pools.
Wayne married the love of his life, Donna, on March 10th 1984. Together they had a life full of love and laughter. They welcomed 4 beautiful girls into the world together. Wayne loved his family and was always there to support the girls in their many endeavors: soccer, softballs, cheerleading, and dance. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, collecting coins and model Corvettes, and watching “stupid Sci-Fi movies” like Sharknado. (This is a love he passed on to his grandsons!) Wayne loved baseball and cheered on the Rays and Marlins as often as he could! Wayne loved the Lord, and the film The 10 Commandments was very dear to him. Wayne is survived by his loving wife: Donna, their four daughters: Stacia Baldwin (Jereme), Meagan Wright (Kyle), Terra Bailey (Tristan Speak) and Mackenzie Bailey, grandchildren: Mikaela, Kaleb, Konner, Madisen, Mason, Grayson, and Carson, siblings: Paul Bailey, Keith Bailey (Kim), Elizabeth Devers (Keith), and Carol Duffy. Wayne is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, July 14th at Serenity Funeral Home, Largo, FL. The Bailey family requests that donations be made to Metropolitan Ministries in lieu of flowers.
