LOUIS (LOU) VINCI, LOVING SON, HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDPA AND FRIEND TO MANY, PASSED AWAY ON FEBRUARY 16TH 2022 IN SEMINOLE, FLORIDA. Lou was born in the Bronx, New York. He graduated from Fordham Prep and Fordham University of Pharmacy, and received his MBA from George Washington University. A visionary who was strong, smart, witty, energetic, loyal, wise and loving, he brought his young family to Pinellas County in 1973 after serving as Administrator of Miami Dade Hospital. He was a devoted husband and father who was always working hard to support his family and build successful businesses. He spent many seasons as a soccer coach, band booster, team sponsor, loving spectator and supporter for the many activities of his children and grandchildren. He became a Developer and Contractor and built medical office complexes, townhomes, commercial offices and private homes. Then in 1997, when he needed a better place to keep his boat Foxy Lady, he bought Indian Springs Marina and with his leadership, it has become one of the premier Marina and Boat Dealership destinations on the west coast of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Anne Vinci, his granddaughter Lauren Anne Dilkey, and his sister Toni, her husband Dupree and their girls Debbie and Dawn. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years Mary; children Steven (Lisa), Jane Wallace (Michael), Michael (Miranda) and Jennifer Dilkey (Ryan); grandchildren Maddie, Dylan, Austin, Caroline, Matthew, Juliana, Michael, Logan and Megan; sister-in law Kathryn and Jim Swain and all the Swain cousins.
A visitation for Louis will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St Jerome Catholic Church, 10895 Hamlin Blvd, Largo, FL 33774 with a graveside service at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park immediately and reception following.
