

Maria "Mici" Gregor of Largo passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. She was 84 years of age. Maria was born in Sopron, Hungary to the late Karoly and Erzsebet Ringhofer. Maria would marry Louis Gregorencsics in 1956. After surviving WWII and the Hungarian revolute of 1956,her family emigrated to the US as refugees from the revolution. They would settle in Queens, New York and then move to Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey. Over the years Maria's life revolved around her family, both as being a mom, but also being heavily involved in the family businesses. With her husband Louis, Maria raised two children, her son Louis and daughter Maria. She did this while working daily at the family's bookbindery in Wharton, N.J. until 1985, then she would be an integral part of the family's Marina business in Largo, Florida right up until her passing. Maria, who was predeceased by her husband Louis was also active in her communities. Maria was a member of Rotary International as a Rotary Ann during the 80's and an active member of Star of the Sea church. Then after relocating to Largo, Florida she would once again find herself involved with her husband and Rotary with the Indian Rocks Beach Rotary club. While in Largo she was a parishioner of St. Jerome's Catholic Church. She loved to cook for her family and spend time with them all. She was known by many names. Maria was known as Mici, Micineni, aunt Mici, but her three favorites were mom, grandma, and GG. She was loved by all who knew her. Maria is survived by her son Louis, daughter Maria and their spouses. She is also survived by two grand daughters, Brianne and Blair and one great grand child Reece. Maria was predeceased by her husband Louis and also her brother Karoly. She is also survived by a sister Erzsebet and niece and nephew.
Services for Maria will be a Holy mass to be held on Friday August 19th at St Jerome's Catholic church in Largo at 11 :00 AM followed by a memorial service and a Celebration of life after at the St. Jerome's catholic church hall. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to
