Mary “Donna” Mitchell, 73, of Belleair Bluffs, passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2019. Donna graduated from the University of Tampa where she was a cheerleader. She retired from the VA Hospital where she was a Medical Technologist. In retirement Donna enjoyed gardening, creating pottery pieces and spending time with her grandchildren. Donna was a dedicated wife, mother and friend.
Donna is survived by her husband of 47 years, Glenn; son Chris (Miriam) and daughter Erin (fiancé Nick Faraone). Grandchildren, Jake and Mallory Mitchell. Brothers Luis Zendegui and Steve Zendegui and sister Elizabeth Zendegui Hauer.
Donna had a passion for service animals, having been a foster mother for puppies in training. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Southeastern Guide Dogs, Sarasota in honor of Donna. Envelopes will be provided.
A Celebration of Life will be on January 12, 2020 from 1:00pm-3:00pm with Services following at 3:00pm at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, 727-562-2080.
