Matthew Brian Krolick, 37, of Watertown, Massachusetts, passed away on May 15, 2026. Born on February 7, 1989, in Tampa, Florida, he was the beloved son of Dana Konopka Krolick and Dr. Merrill Alan Krolick.
Matthew attended Shorecrest Preparatory School and later earned undergraduate and master’s degrees in computer science and electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He worked as a robotics engineer for Boston Dynamics.
Outside of work, Matthew was a powerlifter, musician, and pilot with an instrument rating. He played guitar, bass guitar, and cello, and had a lifelong love of animals. He was known for his kindness, loyalty, and willingness to help his friends whenever they needed him.
In addition to his parents, Dana Konopka Krolick and Dr. Merrill Alan Krolick, Matthew is survived by his brother, Alex Krolick; his aunt, Theresa Howard (Keith); and Karen “Wren” Medina, his devoted best friend.
Matthew will be laid to rest at Serenity Memorial Park and Cremation Gardens at 1pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, Florida 33774, on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
