Just found out about my friend,i bought the 56 cameo quite a few years ago,i flew down from jersey with my brother,what an honor to meet ralph,so sorry for your loss

Ralph was not only a long time customer at a Pinellas Park Title but a friend to both myself and Amanda. We loved him dearly and will miss him. He was a wonderful, kind, caring man. The world would be a better place if there were more men like him

RM was such a fascinating  man... he will truly be missed by all who knew him! 
Some of my most fond memories are lunches at PJ’s and Quaker Steak and Lube and riding in his 1941 Caddy. He kindly loaned that beautiful car to his sister, Pat, for our longtime friends “Girls Night Out” many times.  We had some fun and memorable times! 
Our sincere sympathy to all his family in the loss of a special man!

First, our sincerest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of this fine man. Even though his passing was inevitable after a long battle with multiple health issues it still causes a heavy heart and brings much sadness to those of us that loved him when the time is finally here.

There are no words that would adequately describe what this man meant to me and my family throughout our relationship with him over the years. Whitey was a former employer who continued to sponsor almost every race car I owned or drove long after I left his employment in 1970 but more importantly he was a mentor and a very revered and treasured friend. For those that believe in the hereafter should find solace in the fact that he is now with his son Bryan Wescott, Sr. who he loved and cherished deeply and who preceded him in death in 2001.

I couldn’t have any more respect than I do for a man that comes from dirt poor roots with no formal education but through hard work, perseverance, honesty and integrity goes onto to create something of himself that a lot of educated men would envy. Whitey was the epitome of that man! 

Those that were fortunate enough to have known Whitey and especially those that have called him a friend are far better off for it. I know I am!

Rest in peace my friend.


What a wonderful and caring man Whitey was. It is hard to imagine that this icon is gone. Whitey touched so many lives in so many ways and was always there if and when he saw a need. He was such a staple in the community; his passing will leave a big void for many. He lived such a full life and touched so many of us in so many ways. Our fond memories will last for us and many in the years to come. May he Rest in peace knowing he was loved and will be missed.

I remember when I was younger when my family would get together with the Wescott family. Then my Dad passed away and we lost touch. Then Jackie Nasse married Bryan Wescott and we were back in touch. Prayers and love for your family. 

Over 25 years ago, I approached Whitey for a favor. The Tax Collector’s Office was hosting the Tax Collector Conference at the Vinoy.  Our theme was the Roaring 20’s , and I knew who to ask for a vintage car to photograph. Whitey, delivered the car to the Vinoy, and he parked it in an area where everyone could have their picture taken with it.  To this day, everyone who attended the event said it was the best conference ever.  Also, I will be forever grateful for his kindness and support when I ran for office; one never forgets.  I also loved receiving the cards and calendars he had with his many vehicles he loved.  RIP, my friend, you will be missed! 





Whitey will deeply be missed. I remember my husband Delray  was constantly talking about Whitey  when he was growing up. He was the same age as Delray’s sister Marilyn. I’ll not forget how he would come by and check on me after I lost Delray four years ago. I now know he was a true friend. My prayers goes out to the family.  Sincerely, Marla Newman

I was honored by being a part of the Saturday morning "Largo Mafia" breakfast meetings with RM. RM taught me so much about the history of Largo and his past adventures as he drove me home from the breakfast gathering. He had a story for every neighborhood that we drove thru. RM lived life to the fullest. You will be sadly missed by Nancy and I but the fond memories of our experiences together will last forever.

My deepest sympathies to all family and friends.  Whitey certainly was a dynamic human being that I will never forget.  He was a dear friend to my Dad and entire family.  I have many memories of Whitey, but the ones that come to mind are of He and Dad working on trucks late into the night while I played the slot machine in the living room.  I don't remember a time in my life that he wasn't a friend of ours.  We will cherish the memories.
