Richard J Carroll

CARROLL, Richard J age 74 of Largo passed away Sunday May 8, 2011 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Oswego NY and has been a Florida resident since 1967 coming from New York State. For the past 25 years he has owned and operated Dick Carroll Inc Automotive Repair in Dunedin. He also previously worked as a store manager for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co in Largo. Mr. Carroll served in the Army National Guard in New York and was a member of St Patrick's Catholic Church, Madeira Beach American Legion, Dunedin Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus, and former member of Sertoma Club of Largo. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Marie A (Krawczyk) Carroll, Largo, sons John L Carroll (Linda) Largo, Richard J Carroll Jr (Meaghan) Ozona, daughter Catherine Carroll, Largo, brother Patrick Carroll, Oswego NY, sisters; Helene Spaulding and Maryanne Miller (Ray) Oswego NY, and Margurite Aluzzo (John) Syracuse NY. He is also survived by four grandchildren. A Memorial Mass is scheduled for Friday May 13, 2011 at 10:30 am at St Patrick's Catholic Church in Largo. A reception will follow in the parish center.
