

Richard Page Caton, 71, of Seminole, Florida passed peacefully on December, 31st 2025 after a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. Richard was born on January 2, 1954 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky to Donald and Wanda Caton. Richard graduated from Centre College in 1976 with a degree in Government and Economics. While attending Centre, he played on both the baseball and football teams and was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He went on to pursue his law degree at the University of Kentucky, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1978. Richard was an attorney specializing in wills & probate, trusts & estates and real estate for over 45 years and had just recently retired. He was active in the Seminole community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club and participated in many other civic projects. He was honored as Mr. Seminole in 2009.
He was a diehard University of Kentucky basketball fan, Rays baseball enthusiast and knew the complete history of both teams. He supported his grandkids in every activity they did and you could usually find him watching them play volleyball, cheerleading, dancing, playing basketball, soccer or baseball. He was so very proud of his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Wanda Caton, and his brother, Michael Caton.
He is survived by his children Paige (Caton) Sfura (Michael Sfura), Nicci Caton, and Sutter Caton (Lauren Caton) and grandchildren Haidyn, Connor and Delaney Sfura and Gavin Caton. Other survivors include his brothers Gary and Steve Caton and many life long friends.
Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10am on January 8, 2025 with funeral services happening immediately after at Serenity Funeral Home in Largo, FL.
