Another year has gone by without you here with us and it still hurts. Man, I wish you were here. I love you, Richard, always.

It's been 9 years now since you left us. They say time heals all wounds, but with each year that passes, I find myself missing you more. I haven't even been able to remove your number from my Contacts in my phone. I love you "little" brother.

Ashleen graduated from EastBay High School this past May 29, 2021. I'm sure that you attended her graduation ceremony from the other side of the veil. I'm sure that you were walking alongside Ashleen as she received her diploma and smiled with your arm around her as she posed for a picture immediately upon receiving her diploma. I know that you are proud of Ashleen. She's a good girl. And I'm sure that you are fully aware that Alex married Phoebe Stone a little more than a year ago. We've never stopped missing you and longing for your presence. How I wish I could hug you. I miss you terribly. I am sure that life for you is so much better on the other side of the veil. I love you Richard. 

Richard, my dear brother, I miss you so very much. I pray that you are at peace. I know from when you visited me in a dream that you have an understanding ťhat you didn't have in this life. I know we'll meet again on the other side of the veil. I still laugh when I think about asking you, "Wanna go do art with me?" 😂 You were a good brother, Richard and I apologize that we weren't able to click so easily together but I always loved you emphatically. I know you understand this now. Just wish I could have a moment to physically hug you. But I'm sure you've hugged us many times more than we know about. 

I think of you often Richard and wish you were still here with us. I will see you across the great divide when my journey ends here, and  I look forward to that meeting.  Until then you will be in the thoughts of everyone here whose lives you touched in a myriad of ways. You are loved and mourned since your sudden departure from life here.  I hope you are happy and have been able to find peace, joy and success so that you may move forward.

I have your Hobo pencil drawing framed in my living room Richard. Grace had it done for my birthday. You remain in my mind as well as my heart. See you in the netherworld where we will all have a better understanding. Miss your evening phone calls, seems odd we could communicate better that way.

Somehow I didn't know this Guest Book was there when you passed, Richard. Today is one year since and missing you is no easier now than the day you left. There are so many odd moments that you come to mind. Sometimes it's when I'm riding my motorcycle, and I think about when you had yours. And you were too slow :-) I miss you so much, if you only knew. I love you Richard.

I remember so fondly when we were young kids. I will miss my "buddy". It's what Richard called me growing up.  May he rest in peace.

I will miss you, my stepbrother. You are very much loved.
