Born in Temperance, Michigan, Sharon spent 25 years in Monroe, Michigan, where she worked at People's Bank and raised her family. She later moved to Florida, where she built a life filled with sunshine, friendships, and meaningful work with Bank of America.
Sharon was the beloved mother of LuAnn (Loughman) Howard (Mike Howard), Kristine (Kearney) Mosheim, and David Kearney (Shannon Kearney); proud grandmother of Samantha Hoffman, Mitchell Mosheim, Megan Mosheim, Madison Kearney, and Devon Kearney; and cherished great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her five siblings: Cathy (Steffes) Sobeck, Sue (Steffes) Stagner, Jay Steffes, Debbie (Steffes) Zurenda, and Renee (Steffes) Harbig.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Kearney, who passed in 2001, and is lovingly remembered by her life partner, Jerry Carol.
Known for her warmth, resilience, and devotion to family, Sharon touched many lives with her kindness, infectious laugh and gentle spirit.
A private memorial service will be held in St. Petersburg, Florida, in July.
