Sharon Kay Paul

PAUL, Sharon 72, of Largo, died peacefully Sept 19, 2013. Sharon was born on Oct. 19, 1940 in Saginaw, MI. She moved to Florida in 1960. She was diagnosed with breast cancer 20 years ago and her long survival was undoubtedly due to her amazing upbeat attitude which she maintained to the bitter end. Sharon loved her family, her cat and her many, many friends. She created fun wherever she went. To say she will be missed, is an enormous understatement. She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew LaPorte and parents, Robert and Frieda Posey. Survivors include her beloved husband of 25 years, Richard Paul; daughter, Laura LaPorte; and grandsons, Nicholas and Daniel Schwartz of Minneapolis MN; son, Lawrence LaPorte (Colleen); and grandchildren, Chantelle, Colin and Nicolette LaPorte of Manhattan Beach, CA; brother, Dr. Robert Posey (Judy) of East Lansing, MI; brother-in-law, Robert Paul (Joy) of Weeki Wachee FL. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. A gathering of friends will be held at Moss Feaster Funeral Home Serenity Gardens Chapel 13401 Indian Rocks Road in Largo on Friday, Oct 4th, from 5 to 7 pm, followed by a memorial service at 7 pm.
