Sylvia Doris Howard, 85, of Largo passed away Thursday, March 8 while in Hospice care surrounded by her loving family. Born in London, England, she was a devoted mother and a loyal member of her church. Sylvia was married for 49 years to her husband Jim who preceded her in death in 1996. They came to the U.S. in 1977 to run a Bible school in New York. Semi-retirement brought them to Florida where they remained active in the ministry. Sylvia is survived by son Graham Howard, (Lucinda) and their children Andrew, Emily, and Philip; daughter Deborah Heisele and her children Heather and Matthew; son-in-law Philip Moody (Maureen, deceased) and their three children Esther, Rebecca and Hannah; and four great grandchildren. She volunteered at Suncoast Hospital, and she knitted items to benefit Hospice. Always positive and helpful she lived her beliefs and supported mission works. She loved flowers, chocolate, and her afternoon tea. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. Visitation will be at Moss Feaster, Indian Rocks on Saturday, March 10th, 5 to 8.
