Walter E Precious

Precious, Walter Edward,94, of Belleair Bluffs, FL died on Friday, September 21, 2012 at Morton Plant Hospital. Walter was born December 17, 1917 in New York City, and moved to this area in 1979 coming from Hyde Park, NY. He was honorably discharged from the US Army after serving for 12 years. Walter was a veteran of WWII having served with the Army Air Corp and later with the Army Engineers. Upon leaving the Army, he was an engineer for the IBM Corporation in Poughkeepsie, NY. Walter retired from IBM after 25 years of service. He and his wife Agnes moved to Belleair Bluffs, FL. Walter was predeceased by his loving wife Agnes of 64 years who died three months ago on June 16, 2012. Surviving are four sons Dan (Sheila) of Crossville, TN, Jim (Sheila) of Belleair Bluffs, FL, Bob (Marian) of Greenwich, CT, and Tom (Rita) of Vooroheesville, NY along with nine grandchildren Chris, Brian, Lorcan, Megan, Sean, Jack, Rachel, Ariel & Zach and four great grandchildren Tom, Christina, Kylie and Luke. Memorial contributions may be given to Suncoast Hospice, Teal Team, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33760. Viewing will be Sept 28, 2012 from 6 – 8 pm at the Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, Fl 727-562-2080, where a Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 12:00 PM at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, 820 Jasmine Way, Clearwater, FL 33756.
