William Joseph Borgelt Sr., age 75, of Largo, FL died February 1, 2015 at his home. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on July 14, 1939 and has been a Florida resident since 1973 coming from Dayton, OH. During his working years in Ohio he worked as a machinist for Hyland Machine Company with his brother in law Fred Schneider in Dayton. After moving to Florida he worked for Honeywell in Pinellas Park retiring in 1999 also worked with his son at Wise Corp doing solid works cad. He also owned his own business doing the same type of work. William was a US Navy veteran, and member of the Knights of Columbus and Fraternal Order of Elks. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Margaret (Schneider) Borgelt; daughters, Jacqueline Shoopman (Scott), Sherry Gerow; Daughter-in-law; Julie Borgelt, Sister; Judy (Buryl) McFadden, sister in law Barbara Zwissler; grandchildren, David, Ryan and Kyle; great grandchildren Rylee, Matthew, Kevin, Oliver and Josh. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Serenity Funeral Home in Largo, 562-2080. A Memorial Mass is planned for Friday February 13, 2015 at 11 am at St. Jerome's Catholic Church 10895 Hamlin Blvd Largo, FL. Inurnment will follow at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park.
