He later enrolled at UNLV and in 2017 graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. He accepted a full-time position as a Kindergarten teacher at EKA Academy. Adam was a mentor through the Big Brother/Big Sister Program. Let us also not forget the many years he had spent as a server/bartender at the Village Pub.

Adam enjoyed food and trying out new places he always would say, “Everything is better in sandwich form.” He loved travelling and exploring new places, concerts, movies, and of course playing video games and Pokemon. He loved you with his whole heart. Being a father to Landon, Chanel, Logan, and Brody was one of his greatest joys. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, father and stepmother, brothers, stepbrothers, fiancée and four children. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America. Memorial services will be held at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery.

Adam, professor, you always will be a great example of hard work, besides all the great things you did, and the great person you were, I will always remember you as a great hard worker, a true fighter, always fair, always pushing forward.
We had plans, I was going to be your wedding DJ, and you were going to be my boy's kinder teacher next year. Those plans will be pending for our next life.
For years and years always was great to see you coming in, and me screaming "professor is in da house baby!!". Now, professor is always going to be in da house, in my memories and in my heart.

Rest In Peace my friend.

Thank you Mr. Semel for making me smile and enjoy school. I did not like school at first. You made school fun in kindergarten and 1st grade math. Although I still feel sad inside , I think of how you made me feel happy and smile. I miss you. I will always remember how you made me feel happy.

Adam was both of my sons teacher at Explore Knowledge Academy. I requested him because of the wonderful way that he interacted with my children. He always made them laugh and feel good. The valuable lessons that he taught my sons will be instrumental as the building blocks of their lives. Adam was much more than just a great teacher. He was beautiful.
