Alicia Baculi Gilbert

Alicia "Mama" Gilbert, a beloved Las Vegas resident, departed peacefully on March 2, 2025, at the age of 76, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in the Philippines on April 12, 1948, Alice's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, boundless affection, benevolence, and enduring love. A graduate of Holy Angel University with a degree in Education, Alice dedicated 23+ years to teaching, while also serving her community as secretary and treasurer of Our Lady of Sorrows parish church. She immigrated to the U.S. with her family where she continued to be a devout and active member of Saint Thomas More Catholic Community. Alice's kindness, dedication, and excellence at work, garnered her numerous work-related accolades throughout the years, including a Hospitality Hero award from the former Mayor of Las Vegas.

Alice was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a doting grandmother, a confidant and a loyal friend. Her personality brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered, and her passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved her. Alice's memory will remain in the hearts

of her family, friends, and all those who were honored to have had the privilege of knowing her. Her infectious joy, loving spirit, and gorgeous smile will be deeply missed but her legacy will live on for generations to come.

Alice is survived by her husband, Irven Gilbert; her children, Girlie Ann, Glenford, Glendalee, and Vince; grandchildren, Patricia, Ervin, Gianne, Kiera, Kenzie, Enzo, Venice, and Nessy; siblings, Lutgarda, Thelma, Jaime, and Ceferino; sons in-law John Paul and Aaron; daughters in-law Jenny and Catherine; numerous "adopted" sons and daughters; and many friends and family.

Alice was welcomed into eternal rest by her parents, Raymundo and Maria Victoria Baculi; her sister, Josefina; brother, Enrico; and nephew, Marvin.

The visitation for Alicia "Mama" Gilbert will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Palm Eastern Mortuary.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Palms Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery (7600 S Eastern Ave. Las Vegas, NV. 89123)
