

Alvey Clay Blanford was born on November 19, 1941, in Flint, Michigan. He dedicated his life to his family and work, always serving those around him with kindness and integrity. On September 22, 1962, Alvey married his beloved Rollene, and together they built a beautiful life.
Alvey began his career at the Buick plant in Flint and later earned his Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology from Flint Community Junior College. He went on to work at GMI, later Kettering University, where he became Audiovisual Satellite Operations Director, making a lasting impact on his colleagues. After many years in Grand Blanc, Alvey and Rollene moved to Elk Rapids in 2004 and later to Henderson, Nevada, where Alvey spent his final days surrounded by loved ones.
He is survived by his son, Darren Blanford; daughter, Dawn Sisk; daughter-in-law, Eve Williams; grandson, Andrew Blanford; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever cherish his memory. Alvey passed away on October 22, 2025, and is now at rest beside his beloved wife, Rollene.
He will be lovingly remembered for his generosity, wisdom, and devotion to family. His legacy lives on in all who knew him.
