

Andrew Glenford Wright was born in Belize City, Belize on June 4th, 1964 to Yvonne Moody and Glenford Wright. Andrew was raised by his grandparents Muriel and Walter Wright Sr. Andrew was truly dedicated to obtaining knowledge; he attended both St Ignatius Primary and St Johns High School.
He migrated to the United States in 1983 with his sister Dolores Wright. Andrew then landed in New York and attended Business School. In 1986 he then moved to Los Angeles, where he held many jobs. He continued to further his education at Santa Monica College, studying computer science. While attending SMC he met Mr. Norman Curry, who became his mentor and extended family member.
Andrew was many things to many people. A true leader, an organizer, Andrew served as Student Government organizer and was very successful in establishing the first Black student government leadership program.
In 1993 Andrew return to his homeland and then met his future bride Solvie Gomez, walking in front of Brodies Department store with her mother. “I fell completely in love when I saw her, I had to say something to her, I knew right then I wanted her to be my wife”. In 1994 after returning from vacation and with encouragement from Mr. Curry he made a decision to move to Las Vegas. Andrew returned to Belize and married Solvie in December of 1996. They both returned to start their new life together in Las Vegas. They struggled working and attending CSN and finally graduating all while trying to start a family. They bought their first home, and soon after he was blessed with his son Jaelen, born January 16, 2004.
In 1998, Andrew was chosen to participate in a program for Black students which helped to launch his career with the Casino. He was hired in 1998 with the Wynn Corporation as a dealer for the Bellagio, then became Casino Floor Supervisor and then moved to the ARIA upon its opening in June of 2010.
Andrew continued to pursue his dream; he finally received a BS in Business Management from Phoenix University in 2007. Due to his determination and dedication to his children, Andrew decided to continue his education; he accomplished his dream of earning a Masters Degree in Business Administration on June 4th, 2011, which fell on his 47th birthday, one of his most greatest moments.
Andrew is survived by his only daughter Evelyn (17), his eldest son Jaelen (8), and most recently his 18th month-old son Julien, with his girlfriend of five years Emily, his mother Yvonne, father Glenn , sisters Dolores and Victoria, brothers Duke Wright Sr. and Marcel Wright, host of nieces and nephews and a loving extended family too great to acknowledge individually.
Andrew was truly an achiever. He believed in family, loved friends, enjoyed life to the fullest, and most importantly was dedicated to his children and his career. He was an excellent father, son, brother and friend.
