

Anna Mae also affectionally known as “Ann”, was born on July 31, 1944, to Charles Haug and Hanna (Young) Bowers in Rochester, New York, and was raised by Raymond (Tim) and Anna Bowers. She married John (Jack) Walters on July 3, 1965.
Ann was predeceased by her parents Charles Haug, Raymond (Tim) Bowers and Hanna (Young) Bowers; sisters Christine Foley and Phyllis Brasher.
Ann received an associate of liberal arts and sciences degree from Monroe Community College and a bachelor’s degree in biology (minor in botany) from Rochester Institute of Technology. In addition to making a home, she took on many jobs over the years enjoying retirement from the University of Rochester, research labs.
She was member of Calvary Chapel, volunteered in the Israeli Army and Co-Founded the Rochester Chapter of Operation Welcome Home.
Ann’s memory lives on with her husband John (Jack) Walters; daughter Cristine (Walters) Natkin and husband Michael Natkin; son Thomas Walters and wife Dr. Mary (Austria) Walters; grandchildren Alyx Natkin, Christine Schaefer, Jay Natkin, Taylor Natkin; great-grandchildren Charlotte Hawks, June Hawks; brothers Steven Haug, Michael Ferrin, Peter Ferrin and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces.
A Memorial will be held 3 p.m. Thursday June 26, 2025, at Palm Eastern Mortuary 7600 South Eastern Avenue Las Vegas, NV 89123, with Pastors Dr. Bobby Boles and Angelo Agonoy officiating. The memorial will be livestreamed (webcasting.cashmanpro.com/PE/watchliveevent.cfm?eventID=230426)
Flowers will be accepted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ann at www.t2t.org.
There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are to our family, friends and neighbors who have been there for us during this time. The family would also like to express our heartfelt thank you to the professionals at Henderson Dispatch Communications, Henderson Fire and Community Ambulance for answering the call and doing all they could.
