Ruth, as she was commonly known to her friends, was born July 23, 1933, in Redstone Township, Pennsylvania, to Anna and Joseph Vansil.
While in high school in Lorain, Ohio, Ruth met Robert E. Walski, which was the beginning of a life-long union. Ruth accepted Robert’s proposal when he returned to Ohio after four years in the United States Air Force. They made their home in Avon, Ohio, where they dedicated themselves to raising their three children.
After retiring, Bob and Ruth moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Both were active in community organizations, and Ruth particularly enjoyed belonging to a singing group in Sun City Summerlin. Ruth was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, which she attended faithfully. Ruth is survived by daughter Jan Valle of Tampa, FL; son Robert Walski of Henderson; daughter Chris Cappas of Las Vegas; and grandchildren Jason Valle and Jessica Monks of Tampa, FL, and great granddaughter, Adeline Monks.
Ruth was a loving wife, mother, and friend, and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
