Arnel Javarez Lacao, 60, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 10, 1964, in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines, to Arturo and Josefina Javarez Lacao.
A devoted Catholic, Arnel was a pillar of strength and compassion to everyone around him. He lived a life marked by deep faith, quiet generosity, and unwavering love for his family, friends, and the community.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joselyn Faderanga Lacao, their children, Sophia Nicole, Jeremy Arnel, and Jasmin Joy; his siblings, Maria Victoria Borja, Maria Lourdes Gabuco, Maria Teresa Villaruel, Maria Chona Sibal, Maria Josefina Serafica, Maria Adela Lacao, and Anna Vanessa Soliven; and his cherished dog Kikoy whom were the pride and joy of his life.
Arnel served as a nurse initially at Desert Springs Hospital and later on at Boulder City Hospital and ER at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson. During his time as a healthcare worker, he cared for patients with utmost dedication and compassion. His kindness left a lasting impression not only on those he worked with, but on every life he touched. He considered his colleagues as his family, and he was both a mentor and a motivator, encouraging them to pursue further studies — many of whom are now registered nurses because of his guidance and belief in their potential.
His love for cooking, acts of service, or simple words of encouragement brought so much comfort, light, and joy to many. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, caring son and sibling, and cherished friend. His love will continue to guide his family, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Arnel’s beautiful life on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 South Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A viewing will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM to honor and celebrate his life.
The family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support. At this time, they kindly request no flowers to be brought to the venue.
