Bailor served in the United States Air Force from 1955 until 1979. He retired a Master Sergeant after 23 years with a Honorable Discharge. He was a devoted teacher with the school district in Tennessee. At Austin East High School he was an ROTC instructor and retired in 1994 after 15 years. One of his most cherished memories was escorting the ROTC students to the White House. His next adventure was at McCarren, now Harry Reid International Airport as the Escort Service Lead, where he was known to handle the most difficult escorts tasks such as escorting a fallen hero on his final trip home.
Bailor loved to watch his game shows in his spare time, Jeopardy, Let's Make a Deal, and the Price is Right. In his earlier years he enjoyed cooking meals and fishing back in Tennessee.
Bailor is survived by his wife Gloria, daughters Miram Ottena and Marika Saridou and his siblings; Barbara McSwain, Rosmon Lenard, Vivian Oneal, Elizabeth (Liz) White, Leon DuBose, Wilbert Dubose.
He will be missed and will always be in our hearts.
