

Brent Austin, 42, a resident of Henderson, Nevada passed away March 24, 2013. He was born December 2, 1970 in Tucson Arizona. In his early years, Brent attended school in the Tanque Verde School District in Tucson, AZ where he sang and acted in school plays.
From an early age, Brent was always very involved in sports: baseball, football, golf and soccer. He loved music and played drums, trumpet and guitar, and was a big fan of rock music. Brent graduated from Sabino High School in Tucson where he excelled in baseball and football.
He obtained an athletic scholarship to Central Arizona College in Casa Grande, Arizona where he played baseball for 2 years. He met his wife, Dena where she played softball. Together, they attended University of New Mexico where he played baseball for the Lobos and graduated with a B.S. degree.
Brent joined the United States Air Force and was a member of the Security Police. Brent and Dena married and are the proud parents of two children Bo and Taylor. Brent has been an officer with Las Vegas Metro Police Department for the past 11+ years.
Brent loved to laugh, and possessed a wonderful sense of humor to the delight of anyone who knew him. Brent is sadly missed by his family and friends.
Brent was preceded in death by his son, Bo who passed away in 2011. He is survived by his wife, Dena; daughter Taylor; sister, Staci; and parents, Ron and Rae Austin all of Henderson, NV. Memorial Services will be on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 3 PM at Palm Mortuary located at 7600 South Eastern Avenue.
