Carol is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Joel N. Lubritz; her daughters, Suzanne Dodson (Lubritz) and Shelley Lubritz; and her beloved grandson, Michael Dodson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton S. Levy and Ruth Topham Levy.
Carol was born in Morgan City, Louisiana on April 15, 1940. She met Joel, the love of her life, while they were attending Tulane University and Newcomb College in New Orleans, Louisiana. Carol and Joel married in New Orleans on June 14, 1959. In 1972, they made Las Vegas, Nevada their home, where they built a life centered on family and enduring love.
Their marriage was a true partnership. While Joel pursued his medical education—completing medical school, internship, and surgical residency—Carol devoted herself to raising their daughters and creating a home filled with warmth, stability, and love. She later worked alongside Joel in his medical practice, but her greatest pride was always her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Carol was known for her quiet elegance and confidence. She had a warmth that drew people in and a presence that left a lasting impression. Those who knew her were touched not only by her beauty, but by her kindness, strength, and the way she made others feel. She handled her medical adversities with the strength of a warrior.
Above all, Carol cherished her family. She devoted her life to them, and her love will remain a constant presence in their lives and to all those she touched.
Funeral services will be held at King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, Nevada 89120 on May 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
