Chris,
I remember the first time we met. I thought was so cool at 12 sitting in the back of one of the AV carts at Mandalay when you sat down and asked who I was. I thought I was caught n in trouble. You just laughed that big laugh of yours and said you were a friend of my parents. We talked about Star wars and I drew you a picture. Then when I moved to Las Vegas as an adult, you reached out to check up on me from time to time. And when I was struggling you would always give me work to get back on my feet. The bounce is hard to have a family and yet again, after the pandemic, you reached out to check on me and told me about miss rodeo and how you could use a lighting designer. Then I joined Southpoint with you. You provided that safe space to grow my family. I was always greatful that you made my life better by just the smallest gestures of love and kindness. I will miss your stories of Lisa and the family adventures. I will miss planning events with you creatively. I will miss you watching out for me. I will miss yours and Marty's conversations about the latest movies and Star wars. Thank you for giving me a new family and a safe place to work. Thank you for changing my life for the better and pushing me to be better.  Rest in peace.

Chris you couldn't have been a better neighbor let alone a close friend. When I first moved in next door you and Lisa were so incredibly welcoming. You invited me out to comedy shows at South Point, we would help each other with whatever house projects we had, you would even go out of your way to get us tickets during NFR week. I will be sure to carry on your legacy every halloween to hand out the biggest candy bars. The neighborhood will never be the same without your presence. May you rest in peace.

I was saddened to hear of your passing. You weren’t  just a great colleague—you taught me so much about AV and left a lasting impact on me. I’ll always treasure the memories of the events we brought to life together. 

Even though I couldn’t  be there tonight, Please know your family is in my prayers. May time bring  peace, comfort, and healing.

I have a lot of great memories with CJ over the years.
Our deepest conversations occurred while riding in that Mustang, there was just something about that car. I had never heard of clay barring a car before until I met CJ. He used to always try and do that before he went on his trips to Palm Springs. Sometimes I think he should have opened a detail shop rather than stay in AV.

To Chris’s family, my deepest condolences. I never met you but my heart goes out to you. I have no words to take your pain away but I hope peace finds you quickly with warm comfort and find vivid memories.

Oh Chris… we have some very fun and funny stories that we have been telling about you lately. You always made us laugh and were quite a good pool player AND a good sport when Jen would beat you! Thanks for the beautiful billiard balls that you gave us. We will always cherish them and how much you loved Lisa! Wow! Always so impressed with that love. You two made us laugh so much. Every time I think of Chris, or Joclyn tells me a story from work I have to smile. Of all the people I have worked with over the years, he was the one I believed what ever he told me. I remember when he first came to the Bay, he was genuine and honest, and always took care of his crew. I truly did feel like family, and I knew when he hired Joclyn she would be taken care of like family. You will be missed Chris. You were an incredible person to know,  it was an honor.

I met Chris while working at KPSI Radio in Palm Springs, CA. 
We bonded over our mutual love of comedy. He was featured on several segments of “ And now you know with Monty” that aired during my weekly radio show. We had a blast! 
He introduced me to “South Park”. I said a cartoon about kids…AND they curse?!? I’m in!!!
I will treasure the times we spent both in and away from Radio.

I enjoyed working with CJ at Mandalay Bay for Encore Productions for a few years. He was always helpful and kind in sharing his knowledge of Audio/Visual and Lighting Design, he was quite the consummate professional in his field and all around good guy to know and work with. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

CJ was one of the greatest friends you could ever had. He would help you whenever needed and I could always talk to him about anything. You will always be loved.

Although I’ve know Chris for about 2 years, it felt like I’ve known him my entire life. Not only was he my boss, but I considered him family as well. Chris inevitably changed my life with my career. He took me under his wing as I just started in the field. I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity he had given me to prove myself as many others probably wouldn’t have. He sought me for my aspirations, not for my experience. That’s just the type of person Chris was. His generosity in general spoke volumes to me. He was someone you could rely on to have your back given any situation. Someone that would fight for you and that you’d fight alongside with. If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. He’ll always have my upmost respect and gratitude. There is so much more I can say about Chris. I wish I can tell him this myself.  My heart goes out to his family, friends, Lisa and her family. May he rest in paradise.

What do you say about a man you’ve never met, but knew was a good man because of the heart that he captured as his wife?  I’ve know Lisa since high school, and though our friendship remained idle, I remember her to be a caring individual.  People like her are destined to attract like minded souls.  It’s hard to console anyone with words at a time like this, even the most faithful in religion struggle with loss.  It is times like now where the memories become the crutch of the heart to limp thru the next several months.  Lisa, my most heartfelt condolences to you and your family. May the memories of the past hug your heart.

So sad to hear this.  It’s been years since I’ve seen CJ however I remember many long days “at the Bay” working together and then all of us laughing together after work.

Dad was the funniest, most quick-witted, and loving person I’ve ever known. He could turn any moment into a joke. Even drive-throughs became comedy shows, with him switching voices at the speaker and pulling up with a whole new character, leaving everyone laughing.
Some of my favorite memories are of long drives together where we had our deepest talks, shared music, or out of nowhere, he’d yell like a rooster or recite some silly monologue, making me laugh until my stomach hurt. Those drives weren’t just drives, they were where I learned what love and connection felt like, memories I’ll always cherish.
We shared weekends at the junkyard searching for Mustang parts, hockey games, concerts, and laughing so hard I almost didn’t make it to a bathroom and we had to pay a Chinese restaurant just so I could use theirs. Or the time with Megan, Ashley, and Lisa when he kept doing the “Cheese” voice from Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends saying “I pooted” until Lisa begged him to stop… only for us to immediately pass a giant billboard of Cheese that said, “I pooted.” His comedic timing was unmatched.
Disneyland will never feel the same without him, Lisa, Ashley, and Megan together. He loved his people fiercely, wholeheartedly, and without condition. If you were his, you knew it.
I’ll always be a daddy’s girl. We had our disagreements, but our bond was undeniable. I’ll miss our texts, silly shows, afterlife conversations, shooting guns, and blasting Guns N’ Roses down the strip. I’m so grateful he got to spend time with us in Michigan and Kentucky and we got time with him and Lisa in Vegas. Having him at my graduation reminded me just how much his love and support has carried me through every step of my life whether he knew it or not.
The truth is, I’ll miss every single part of him. But what a gift it was to be loved by him and to carry his laughter, love, and spirit with me forever. Thank you, Lisa, for loving him so fiercely. Dad, I’ll always carry your spirit. I love you

Our Family is devastated by the sudden loss of a very dear member of our found family. Chris was an adopted Uncle to our girls and a wonderful and caring boss. We will miss you Chris, hope you are resting in paradise.

I'm very saddened to hear about the sudden passing of my family's dear friend CJ. CJ was  an amazing friend to my dad Kevin Hansen. As well, as an amazing friend to my family as a whole. I remember taking family trips to Disneyland when I was very little. I remember sushi nights out with him and his wife Lisa. I remember hanging out at their house every now and then as a kid. I enjoyed hanging out with his kids. He will truly be missed! RIP CJ🪽🪽

I am in shock. Chris was a good guy and i had worked with him for over 20 years in this crazy show biz. Chris and I graduated from the same high school,Palm Springs high. after graduation I know Chris was a DJ at a local radio station in Pal Springs. He was a funny guy. Great to be around. I will miss him deeply. My condolences to his wife and his kids. Rest easy, my friend. See you on the other side.
