Cynthia Spencer Allen

Cynthia accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at East Lake Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing as a member of the choir.

Cynthia graduated from Southeastern High School. To further her education, she attended Wayne County Community College and National Education Center majoring in computer science/informational technology.

Cynthia demonstrated her skills in technology as a Lead Computer Operator at McKesson HBOC in Livonia, Michigan. She continued pursuing her career goals by working as a Remediation/Data Entry Specialist at Manpower Metro Detroit in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

In 1980, in Detroit, Michigan , Cynthia married Jethro Allen, who preceded her in death.

To assist her mother, Cynthia relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2004. She rapidly gained employment at Clark County School District (CCSD) as an Office Specialist II. Cynthia was assigned to several schools in which she assumed various roles and responsibilities. Her most noteworthy position was that of Graphic Art Specialist at Harney Middle School. Cynthia had a demeanor that would cause one to pause and wonder, "What is she up to?" Her eyes were her defense mechanism, her weapon; she could stab you with them. However, once you became her friend, you were a friend for life. Cynthia's friends were privy to her soft, loving disposition.

On January 22, 2022, God whispered her name and called her home to rest! She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Stephanie Spencer; her grandson, Jalen Spencer (Trisha); her granddaughter, Lauren Dumas; great-grandson, Emmett Spencer; two sisters, Dr. Darlene Russell and Paula Varner; her nieces, Nanette Bonds (Rodney), Nicole Franklin (Tony) and Natasha Williams (Charles); her nephew, Edward Varner; great-nephews, Eric Bonds and Corey Franklin; great-nieces, Nina and Nova Williams; sister-in-law, Andrea Woods and a host of other family members and friends.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. A visitation for Cynthia will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A committal service will occur Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A reception will occur from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
