A Life Well Lived

A life well lived is a precious gift, of hope and strength and grace, from someone who has made our world a brighter, better place. It’s filled with moments, sweet and sad with smiles and sometimes tears, with friendships formed and good times shared, and laughter through the years. A life well lived is a legacy, of joy and pride and pleasure, a living, lasting memory our grateful heart’s will treasure. -Author Unknown

Your gentle face and patient smile with sadness we recall, you had a kindly word for each and died beloved by all. The voice is mute and stilled the heart that loved us well and true. Ah, bitter was the trial to part from one as good as you. You are not forgotten loved one, nor will you ever be, as long as life and memory last, we will remember thee. We miss you now, our hearts are sore, as time goes by, we miss you more. Your loving smile, your gentle face, no one can fill your empty place. -Author Unknown

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Rivera, who left us on February 1, 2025, at the age of 52 in Henderson, Nevada. Born on June 18, 1972, in Waukegan, Illinois, Daniel was a beacon of warmth, joy, and humor, with a smile that could light up any room. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone around him feel special, and his presence was a true comfort to those who knew him.

Daniel is deeply mourned by his loving wife of 20 years, Elizabeth; his children, Devon (Cheyenne) and Shiloh; and his cherished grandchild, Eevie. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Gail Reyes; his brother, David (Mary); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Daniel was predeceased by his father, Antonio Reyes, who he held close to his heart.

A passionate sports fan, Daniel was known for his unwavering support of the Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, and White Sox. His love for music and gaming fostered deep connections with friends and family, providing countless hours of shared joy and camaraderie.

Above all, Daniel treasured time spent with his loved ones, whether it was sharing laughter with friends or making lasting memories with family. He had an extraordinary gift of putting others at ease, and his friendship was a gift to everyone fortunate enough to experience it.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for this summer, with further details to be shared in the coming months. Daniel’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May his laughter and kindness continue to inspire us, just as they did throughout his life.
