

December 16. David was a 42-year resident of Las Vegas, Nevada and worked as a
Front Services employee at the largest hotel/casinos on the Las Vegas Strip including The Wynn, Bellagio, Mirage and Treasure Island.
David was the son of Robert Irwin Griffis (deceased) and Mary Catherine Griffis; the husband of Dawn Rosch Griffis; and father of Robert Maxwell (Max) Griffis.
Dawn and David were married for 27 years.
Born in Melbourne, Florida in 1962, David spent his childhood on the beaches of South Florida before moving with his family to Las Vegas in 1976 where he attended Chaparral High School and UNLV.
David will be remembered as a family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife and son and life-long friends. He was also a musician and an avid guitar player. Anyone who knew David also knew of his passion for Halloween and the preparations he made for it each year. David loved to travel, with Disneyland as a family favorite.
In addition to Dawn and Max, David is survived by his mother, brother, sister, one nephew, and three nieces.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, December 20 at 6pm at Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery, 7600 South Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV.
A “Toast to David” reception will be held afterwards at Memphis Championship BBQ located at 2250 East Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, NV.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Heart Association .
