Our girl Daredevil took every challenge on the water with courage, heart, and a sense of humor. Grateful to have crossed paths with her through First Descents. Our FD family misses her deeply but will carry her spirit with us in all we do ❤️

To the family of Denise:

She was such a beacon at the courthouse with her effervescence and spirit.  She always had a smile and laugh for everyone that she came across.  I believe she made those around her, heart happy and I can only believe that it was 10x as strong with her family and close friends.  I do wish you peace that surpasses all understanding.

Denise attended my graduation and in all the other pictures, she was trying to direct what we were doing, what poses and where to look. Always one to take charge when everyone else couldn't.

One of the many times we had to go shopping for events lol. No matter what we were doing, she always was having fun.

From my first year in LYLC to my last in 2015, Denise was always a constant there. She was a light and a joy to be around. This was my first year on the E Board of LYLA and she made it a memorable time, even though I was scared of the rides. Even now, over 10 years later, I still remember our E board leaving our mark in California, then running away laughing.

She danced with the rain like it was listening.
I’ll remember her laughter in every storm.

We had always wanted a picture with an Abercrombie model. When we saw there was one at Fashionshow Mall, she begged her mom to take our picture with him! Forever wild and spontaneous!

My deepest condolences to you and the family.
As you continue to navigate the space she left behind, may you find comfort in the promise that love does not end with a goodbye.

In John 14:27, Jesus says:
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Grief is often a long and winding road, but you do not walk it alone. Denise's life was a gift, and the impact she had on your hearts remains a permanent treasure. When the days feel heavy, remember that God is "close to the brokenhearted" (Psalm 34:18).

May you find strength in your shared memories—the sound of her laughter, the wisdom of her words, and the warmth of her presence. Let those moments be a light that guides you through the shadows.

You are a testament to her legacy, and your love for one another is the greatest way to honor her memory.
